Located in beautiful Hampstead, North Carolina, we are a dedicated, preservation-minded breeding program focused on raising healthy, beautifully socialized, and structurally sound dogs that excel as both competitive champions and beloved family companions.

Our Heritage & Foundation

For us, this is a proud family tradition built on nearly three decades of love for the breed. Ryan practically grew up in the world of preservation breeding; his father, Dan, and his wife, Jackie, have been breeding top-tier dogs since Ryan was just 12 years old. Today, at 40, Ryan brings that lifetime of knowledge to our own program. With Dan and Jackie’s 28 years of foundational breeding experience backing us from Cape Fear Bichons, Ryan and Shannon founded Bichons of Hampstead to carry that torch of excellence forward—combining rich family heritage with a shared passion to protect future generations of this magnificent breed.

We do not just breed dogs; we breed to preserve the ultimate standard of the Bichon Frise. Our dedication to structural soundness, correct movement, and true breed temperament has proudly produced four AKC Champions. Every pairing we plan is done with extreme purpose, focusing heavily on health clearances, excellent genetics, and conformation.
